How Does the BuyBoard Rebate Work?
Earning rebates is simple. The more Texas school districts and governmental entities procure through the BuyBoard, the more money they may be eligible for at the end of the year.
- Make a purchase: Issue your purchase order (PO) in the name of the awarded BuyBoard vendor and indicate on the PO "Per BuyBoard Contract."
- Notify BuyBoard of your purchase: For your purchase to be eligible, you must notify BuyBoard of the purchase. One way to do this is by emailing your PO to info@buyboard.com. Your BuyBoard consultant can help find the most efficient notification method based on your organization's needs.

When Are Rebates Delivered? Who Do They Go To?
Rebates are delivered to active, qualifying members by the end of each calendar year. They are sent electronically via ACH or mailed directly to whoever signed your interlocal agreement with BuyBoard. Rebates for the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative are not guaranteed in any given year and are approved by the Cooperative’s Board of Trustees annually.
How Are Rebates Calculated?
For individual members, every dollar of qualifying purchases starts accumulating and adding to your rebate. There is no limit on how much your organization can earn in rebates each year.
Purchase orders that have been entered and the service fee paid by the vendor from September 1 through August 31 may be eligible for a potential rebate from that year. Purchase orders that have been entered, but the service fee has not been paid by August 31 may be eligible for potential rebate the following year. Rebates are not guaranteed in any given year and are approved by the Cooperative's Board of Trustees annually.
