Becoming a member of the National Purchasing Cooperative (National BuyBoard® or BuyBoard®) requires only a few simple steps — and membership is free!
Joining the BuyBoard Is Free and Easy
Texas Entities
The Texas Cooperative is open to all local governments, and other political subdivisions in the state that are authorized to be a party to an interlocal cooperation agreement under the Interlocal Cooperation Act. The following entity types must also be members of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to become a BuyBoard member:
- Texas school districts including open enrollment and college/university charter schools
- Educational cooperatives
- Community colleges
- Central appraisal districts
Entities Outside of Texas
If your entity is outside the state of Texas, you may be eligible to join the BuyBoard National Purchasing Cooperative. Eligible governmental entities include:
- Community colleges
- Counties
- Municipalities, towns, and villages
- Public universities
- School districts
- Other local government agencies
Vendors
Interested in becoming an awarded BuyBoard vendor? Registering is the first step in this process. Upon registration, your company will receive proposal notifications, have the opportunity to respond and be awarded a contract by the Cooperative Board.
